This little blog is my first steady writing gig in more than a decade. No more freelancing! I love not taking orders. No one tells me what to do. No one turns down my brilliant story ideas.
Of course, I’m not getting paid. But if I added up my hours doing stories as a freelance writer, the checks didn’t amount to much anyway. For me, blogging isn’t about finances and career goals but self-expression. So far, the trade-off is worth it.
Blogging is more than therapy and detox. It’s also a canvas, a stage and a living room. I want to keep getting more honest, less earnest. Look for fun moments ahead!
At first, going public in a blog was really scary. But there’s magic in writing for readers. Every time I’ve posted, you’ve been out there for me. That’s a great feeling. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
